For years Jamie Bracey, PhD, has been a staunch advocate for introducing youth to the world of science and technology. As director of STEM Education, Outreach & Research at Temple University’s College of Engineering, Bracey has become a national leader in creating viable university-community partnerships through her impressive work throughout North Philadelphia.
“I put Temple’s resources in the community and vice versa,” Bracey said while a panelists on WURD/Wilco Electronic Systems’, From Consumer to Creator: How Black Communities Can Transform Technology Consumption into Economic Power, during Philly Tech Week 2017 presented by Comcast. “The demand for free and low cost STEM opportunities continues to drive Temple’s investment in providing access to affordable, high quality services, particularly for inner city students,” said Bracey.
