The nation’s oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers recently convened, hosting the Independent Filmmaker Project’s IFP Gotham Awards in New York City last week.
The first honors of the film awards season, the 27th Annual IFP Gotham Awards showcased and honored the filmmaking community, championing the future of storytelling by connecting artists during the star-studded event.
Accepting a tribute for his body of work, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore said, “If there’s a time to make documentaries, and to tell important stories, I would say it’s now.”
Representing a growing network of 10,000 storytellers around the world, the Independent Filmmakers Project, IFP, plays a key role in developing 350 new feature and documentary works each year.
